Our Aims
Himalayan Learning always targets its projects to work toward the following:
1. A sustainable livelihood.
2. Education and health.
3. Life and security.
4. A right to be heard.
5. A right to equity.
Where possible when we are working we also try to make decisions taking the following into mind:
1. Enable local people to use local skills, products, and traditional practises.
2. Run programs that are accessible, sustainable, and respond to local needs.
3. Undermine mistrust of non-governmental organisation practice by:
- a) Being clear and transparent about our aims, objectives, finances, and processes
b) Working with local communities not for them
