Objectives

To advance our aims, including:

  1. Enabling children to access education through sponsorship of their needs
  2. Helping communities and schools to develop through the provision of facilities, training, and materials
  3. Supporting local knowledge, customs, and skills by prioritising the development of local capacity and using local materials

To support rights-based development, including:

  1. Convention on the Rights of the Child
  2. Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women

To consider directive principles, including:

  1. Utilise Fairtrade services and products
  2. Utilise environmentally safe services and products
  3. Utilise local people, local skills, local products, and traditional practices
  4. Utilise accessible, sustainable, and needs-led programmes

To be different from other organisations, including:

  1. Being clear and transparent with local communities
  2. Working with local communities, not for them
  3. Valuing local customs and materials
