Hi guys,
I thought you should know, in Nepal we've just heard that one of our girls was taken to hospital by our coordinator and volunteers.
It seems Abisha (who is 11) has been suffering a lot, and our volunteer found out, rushed her to hospital about 2 hours away and was told that she needs to remove the Kidney as there is something wrong with it! (i do not know what yet)
Anyway, lets all hope (and pray if you do) that she is alright, we've paid for her transport and the operation, that will hopefully be no more than £40.
However i thought that everyone would be interested because it relates to the sponsorship fees debate. This money would come out of the community fund in the future, rather than our current education fund (effectively we've just used 20p from each sponsor)
Anyway, let's all hope that Abisha does not have any of the more drastic problems related to kidneys that we can think about. |

How is Abisha ?
I guess it is hard to get up to date news because of the distances involved.

I hope she pulled through ok(?) this is an old topic... I can understand increasing the sponsorship charges if it covers essential operations and suchlike of course... I was saddened to read what happened to Laxmi too |
