Culture and history

It would require a large library to properly explain the multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multi-cultural country of Nepal.

Nowhere else in the world could a national population of roughly 26 million people speak over 100 languages, follow a huge variation of religion, and live by a host of various customs and cultural practices.

Because the country was largely inaccessible until the twentieth century and was never colonised, and as the natural border between Tibeto-Burman and Indo-Aryan cultures, Nepal has retained much of its plurality and individuality.
